College Credit Certificate (CCC)
The College Credit Certificate is a series of college-credit courses that prepares
students for entry-level employment in specific career fields or for career advancement.
Upon completion of the Certificate program, students continuing their education in
the related A.S. degree program may have the credit applied toward the A.S. degree
as noted in specific catalog listings. A high school diploma (or GED) is a requirement
for admission.
Applied Technology Diploma (ATD)
An applied Technology Diploma is a diploma offered either for technical credit or for college credit. Students entering into an ATD must have a standard high school diploma or GED. The ATD allows the student to gain advance standing toward an Asociate in Science (AS) degree. When the ATD program articulates into an AS degree, the credit awarded will be college credit.
The Applied Technology Diploma (A.T.D) can be part of an Associate in Science degree
and earning the certificate can lead to employment in a specific occupation.
Advanced Technical Certificate (ATC)
Advanced Technical Certificates (A.T.C.) are designed for students who have already
received an associate in science or an associate in applied science degree and are
seeking an advanced, specialized program of instruction in a particular career field
to supplement their degree. GEA University offers Advanced Technical
Certificates in a few career areas in which advanced training beyond the associate
degree level is needed.
